Eric Schultz has been at the forefront of disruptive innovation since the early 1980s, building groundbreaking products, services, and companies across computing, security, mobile internet, online learning, precision medicine, digital biology, and generative AI. He co-founded several startups, including Blossom, Mesa, Wireless Knowledge, QuantiaMD, and currently leads Cota Healthcare, Ocean Genomics, and Sama Life Sciences AI.
Since 2004, Eric has focused on healthcare and life sciences, leveraging AI to improve patient outcomes. He co-founded Sama Life Sciences AI to develop lifelike digital human agents and Ocean Genomics to advance AI-driven multi-omics for drug discovery. Previously, he co-founded and led Cota Healthcare, creating research-grade real-world evidence for oncology.
Eric also serves as an advisor to emerging companies and investors, participates on research advisory boards, and lectures on innovation and entrepreneurship at business schools. He holds a B.S. in Biology from Harvard University, where he also served as a teaching fellow in computer science. Outside of work, Eric enjoys family life with his five children, supporting their sports, arts, and creative pursuits.
