Bob Cappadona is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Veolia North America’s Environmental Solutions and Services (ESS) division. He joined Veolia in 1991 as Director of Regulatory Affairs for hazardous waste management operations in Flanders, NJ. Over the years, he has held various leadership roles, including General Manager for New England operations, Vice President of Service Operations for the Eastern region, and Senior Vice President of ESS. In 2016, he was appointed Chief Operating Officer of ESS and expanded his responsibilities to include Veolia’s environmental business lines in Canada.
Before joining Veolia, Bob began his environmental career in 1987 as an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Engineer at General Electric in Somerville, NJ. He later became the EHS Manager for GE’s semiconductor manufacturing operations in the U.S. and Europe.
Bob holds a degree from the University of Michigan and has completed extensive graduate studies in toxicology at Michigan and environmental health at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.
Based in Boston, Massachusetts, Bob is also an avid marathon runner, having completed over 120 marathons
